My goodness, we are quick off the mark ! The brand new Franco Belge Montfort Mark 2 is in stock and installed and under fire in our stove showroom.
We love this stove. It's seems like a real wood miser, giving superb heat and controlability. It has a 5kw output, so need no additional room air ventilation.
We have a video of this stove under fire. Click here to view it.

New Video - Nordpeis Heritage N25 Under Fire
The Franco Belge Montfort Mark 2
Take a sneak peek at a brand new stove from Franco Belge, the Montfort Mark 2. It's so new that we don't have all the details yet.
Franco Belge have done to the Montfort the same as they did with the Savoy. They have made a Mark 2 version with cleaner lines.
We have one in our showroom under fire now, and a couple in stock. Being a 5kw stove, it does not require additional room air ventilation, and we can see this becoming a very popular stove indeed. Details and images we currently have are here.

Beware "Grey Import" Franco Belge Stoves
The UK importer for Franco Belge Stoves, ACR Heat Products, has become aware that there are "grey import" Franco Belge models coming into the UK, and being sold online as UK specification models. They have been contacted by a couple of customers who purchased their Franco Belge stove online, and received models without UK model numbers.
This raises a few issues. It should not be possible, at this point in time, to purchase Franco Belge stoves online at all, although we know it is. That is because ACR require that all stoves are sold with the completion of a handover document which must be signed by the customer at the time of purchase. We highlighted this on an earlier post here.
If you do purchase a Franco Belge stove online, and you are lucky enough to also receive a UK model, then you will invalidate your 5 year warranty on the stove. If you purchase online, and are unlucky enough to receive a "grey import", then you will have no guarantee at all. Are you getting the idea yet? - it's just not worth it. Contact your local stove shop, or ACR who will put you in touch with your nearest dealer.

Review of the Vesta Air Spinner
Our new Vesta Air revolving chimney cowls have been selling very well. It's a brand new product in the UK, so we sent one out to Steven Howard, the Vice-Chairman & Training Director of The NACS.(National Association Of Chimney Sweeps), for testing. His initial review is shown below:-
"The Vesta Air Spinning cowl is now fitted and revolving very nicely.
It arrived on Friday via Parcel Force and was undamaged in transit, which was I think quite fortunate as the product was only protected by the outer box. Fitting proved relatively straight forward, and I used the adaptor plate that came supplied.
The plate lined up perfectly with the holes in the cowl for the bolt fixings, and if anything perhaps a bit too precise, as gentle persuasion and a little lubricant was required to guide the bolts through so to prevent stripping the threads. The washers and bolts were of good quality and secured the cowl quite adequately though it must be pointed out that as a precautionary measure I have personally always added an additional bed of suitable sealant to the chimney pot for the cowl to adhere to as this will prevent any chance of the cowl becoming dislodged in the future, and given the weight of the spinner, this may prove to be invaluable advise.
The opening mechanism for allowing sweeping access is not as complicated as others I have fitted before, and cannot envisage their being any issues with this in the future providing that the hinged parts are lubricated during general maintenance.
My appliance is lit and working perfectly well and it will take a few weeks to settle in before I will be best placed to give you further updates.
But for now, it’s on, it’s spinning, it looks fantastic and most importantly it’s quiet.
The guarantees are certainly something to factor in when making a decision on purchase, as 5 years against rusting, and 2 years for the oil filled bath turbine are I believe unrivalled, yet would require clarity as to who to approach in the unlikely event of a dispute, as no warranty cards or guarantee slips are included with the product. (now available - see below)
My sincere wishes to you for now
Regards
Steven Howard"
